Job description
ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is a dynamic and fast-growing BPO company based in South Africa, specialising in providing top-tier operational support to U.S.-based companies. We are not a recruitment agency - we act as a dedicated extension of our clients' teams, delivering high-quality service with precision, efficiency, and a personal touch.
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our client's Talent Acquisition Team, a U.S.-based provider of ABA therapy services. This role is ideal for a high-energy, target-driven person with a sales background who knows how to build rapport, sell an opportunity, and get great candidates excited to join the team. You don't need to be a career recruiter, but you do need drive, resilience, and a genuine interest in understanding the ABA industry and our client's business. You will start with resume screening and back-office recruitment support, with the goal of growing into conducting full candidate interviews and screenings. Please note this is not a commission-based role.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 12:00am SAST (subject to daylight saving time).
• Public Holidays: You will work on all South African public holidays. Compensated in line with the BCEA.
• Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
• Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages . Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
• Work Environment: Fully remote (you must be located in South Africa)
Responsibilities:
• Receive and review inbound resumes and employment inquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
• Screen resumes against role requirements and shortlist suitable candidates.
• Conduct phone interviews to assess experience, communication skills, and suitability for the role (building up to full interviewing and screening responsibility as you grow in the role).
• Promote the company and the opportunity to candidates, creating a positive candidate experience and encouraging them to join the team.
• Endorse suitable candidates to the hiring team and submit batches of candidates for review within agreed deadlines.
• Coordinate offers and hires, and keep candidates informed throughout the process.
• Manage onboarding, including collecting and verifying new hire paperwork and credentials.
• Accurately document all candidate interactions and keep recruitment records up to date within the system.
• Follow the client's established recruitment workflows and meet quality and productivity expectations.
• Assist with administrative projects and other recruitment support tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• Proven sales or target-driven background (e.g. sales, business development, account management, or a high-performance call centre environment) with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• High energy, strong drive, and resilience, with the ability to stay motivated and positive through rejection and pressure.
• Ability to sell an opportunity and build rapport quickly with candidates.
• Genuine interest in the ABA therapy and healthcare space, and a willingness to learn the client's business and speak about it with confidence.
• Excellent communication skills, with a good phone personality and English pronunciation.
• Friendly, dynamic, and personable, with a positive attitude.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer skills and confident navigation of MS Office and Outlook.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
• Able to follow documented workflows and work to quality and productivity targets.
• Professional, discreet, and dependable when handling candidate information and credentials.
• Ambitious with a strong work ethic.
Beneficial:
• Recruiting background, with an understanding of both assessing candidates and selling the opportunity to them.
• ABA therapy experience (recruiting for or working in ABA, e.g. RBT or BCBA roles).
• Previous healthcare or healthcare staffing recruitment experience.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS) and onboarding or credentialing processes.
If you are not contacted within 14 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
