Job description
Headquarters: Atlanta, GA

The Paid Ads Specialist owns the day-to-day execution of Paid Ads Academy's own paid media, the campaigns that drive traffic and leads into our challenges, masterclasses, and evergreen funnels. You take the targeting, budget, and testing plan the Senior Paid Ads Coach sets and run it: building campaigns, watching spend daily, and reporting on what is working across multiple platforms: Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc.
The Senior Paid Ads Coach owns strategy, budget authority, and the performance thresholds. You own execution: the builds, the daily optimizations inside those thresholds, the tracking hygiene, and the reporting that tells everyone the truth about what happened. A strategy is only as good as the account it runs in.
What makes this different from an agency seat is whose money it is. This is our budget, driving leads into the programs that fund the company. When cost per lead drifts, it is not a client conversation, it is our margin. We also teach paid ads for a living, which means our own accounts should be the strongest example of the work we put in front of students. You will be one of the people who makes that true.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Execution
• Campaign Build & Launch: Build and launch paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, Spotify, ChatGPT, and YouTube for challenges, masterclasses, and evergreen funnels, following the targeting, budget, and creative testing plan set by the Senior Paid Ads Coach
• Account Hygiene: Keep every account organized with consistent naming conventions, UTM tracking, and pixel and conversion tracking, working with Tech & Automations to keep data clean
• Campaign Audits: Run recurring audits of active accounts to catch structural, targeting, or budget inefficiencies before they compound
• Recruiting Ads: Post and manage paid recruiting ads when new roles go live
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
• Daily Monitoring: Check spend, cost per lead, cost per acquisition, and ROAS daily across all active campaigns
• Optimization: Pause, scale, or adjust campaigns against the performance thresholds the Senior Paid Ads Coach sets, without waiting to be told
• Platform Awareness: Track Meta, Google, and YouTube platform and policy changes that could affect active campaigns, and flag anything the Senior Paid Ads Coach needs to know
• Curriculum Flagging: Flag when a platform change is coming or occurs
• Early Warning: Flag underperformance or tracking issues the same day, before they burn budget
• Occasional Holiday/Weekend Coverage: During an active launch, monitor campaigns as needed during occasional holidays or weekends when the rest of the team is not working. In exchange, we’ll provide flexibility to adjust your schedule and make up that time during the week
• Industry Research: Run ongoing competitive and industry analysis to surface emerging trends, new ad formats, and growth opportunities
Reporting
• Recurring Reporting: Build and maintain the weekly and campaign-level performance reports for the Senior Paid Ads Coach and leadership
• Budget Pacing: Track spend against planned budget for every active campaign so nothing overspends or underspends without a reason
Creative Coordination
• Creative Briefs: Write the creative briefs for new ad concepts, partnering with Brand & Creative to shape assets and call out iteration opportunities as results come in
• Creative Requests: Partner with Brand & Creative and Funnels teams to get ad creative, copy, and landing pages built, tested, and refreshed on schedule
• Test Planning: Contribute ideas to the A/B testing plan for creative, audiences, and landing page experience, based on what you are seeing in the accounts
• Creative Testing: Run the creative and audience tests the Senior Paid Ads Coach prioritizes, and report back what won and why
Content Quality Support
• Curriculum Recommendations and QA: Do a first-pass review of new ad-related training material, checking for accuracy and consistency with current platform behavior and ensure what’s in the training aligns with what’s working and relevant
• Refresh Tracking: Keep a running list of course content that needs a refresh based on platform or strategy changes
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on paid media buying, building and managing campaigns directly in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, YouTube). Can confidently manage a 7-figure annual ad budget across multiple platforms.
• Tracking & Attribution: Comfortable with pixels, UTMs, and conversion tracking, and knows how to troubleshoot when the numbers do not add up
• Analytical: Comfortable working in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Excel, and can read a report and know what to do next, not just pull the numbers
• Detail & Organization: Manages multiple active campaigns and deadlines at once without letting tracking, optimization, or reporting standards slip
• Communication: Flags issues and opportunities early rather than waiting to be asked, and can explain what happened in a campaign in plain language.
• Fast moving: Advocates for the businesses’ best interest, including making budget decisions, optimization decisions, and creative decisions. Swiftly moves and takes action based on data and not feelings.
NICE TO HAVE
• Additional platform experience: TikTok, Reddit, Spotify, ChatGPT, LinkedIn Ads, Amazon Ads, App Ads
• Experience supporting A/B testing and optimization across audiences, creative, bidding, and landing pages
• Experience running lead-gen ads for challenges, webinars, or launches specifically
• Experience in online education, coaching, or membership businesses
• Experience working with agency partners or cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with GoHighLevel (GHL)
• Google Ads and other platform certifications
WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE
• Owns the Account: You treat ad spend like it is your own money and you do not need someone looking over your shoulder to catch a problem. When something is off, you have usually already found it and started working the fix.
• Fast and Disciplined: You move quickly on optimizations but you do not skip the reporting and tracking hygiene to get there. Speed that breaks attribution is not speed, because nobody can tell what worked afterward.
• Initiates: You see a trend or a problem before anyone points it out, and you act on it. You read the platform release notes, you notice a format change before it shows up in your results, and you have a point of view about what to do with it.
• Comfortable Inside a Lane: Strategy, budget authority, and the performance thresholds sit with the Senior Paid Ads Coach. You can run hard inside those thresholds without either overstepping them or waiting to be told what to do next.
• Bothered by Bad Data: An untagged campaign, a broken pixel, or a number that does not reconcile sits with you until it is resolved. You would rather stop and get it right than publish a report you do not fully trust.
• Plain-Spoken About Performance: You can explain what happened in an account to someone who does not buy media, without hiding a bad week behind jargon. Good news and bad news travel at the same speed.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE & OUTSIDE WORK
This is a full-time role, and we're looking for people who are all in. That means this is the work, not one of a few things you're juggling.
To protect focus and prevent burnout, we don't permit outside work or side gigs for full-time team members. If you currently run a business or have a commitment you're not looking to step away from, this likely isn't the right fit, and that's okay. We'd rather be upfront so we're aligned from the start.
We've found the people who thrive here are the ones whose energy and vision are fully on this business. That focus is what helps the whole team win.
Please note: applicants must reside within the US to be considered
Saffa.global isn't the employer or recruiter. Never pay anyone for a job offer, visa or "processing fee".
