Document Controller

Salary: R29 000 – R32 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Document Controller for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

Remote Recruitment places South African talent with UK employers, and this is a full-time, 100% remote position working UK business hours. In this role, you will own document versions, approvals and filing so a UK team always works from the right file. You will join a friendly team, work with clear processes, and have the support you need to do your best work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a controlled register of documents and versions

• Check new documents against naming and approval rules

• Archive and retrieve records quickly on request

• Chase approvals and sign-offs from document owners

• Audit folders regularly and fix errors

What you'll need

• Experience in document control or records management, with examples of tidy version control

• Familiarity with SharePoint, Google Drive or Dropbox

• Strong attention to detail

• A reliable laptop, stable fibre internet and a quiet workspace

• Availability for 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO-style quality systems

• Familiarity with Confluence or Notion

• Experience writing filing guidelines
