Job Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join one of our clients in a fully remote position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking a long-term remote bookkeeping job with an international company.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and proficient with modern accounting and bookkeeping software.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

• Record and categorize daily financial transactions in accounting software.

• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations regularly.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.

• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment follow-ups.

• Maintain organized financial documentation and digital records.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.

• Prepare basic financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

• Support payroll processing and related record-keeping where required.

• Identify discrepancies and ensure financial records remain accurate and compliant.

• Collaborate remotely with clients, accountants, and internal team members.

• Support additional finance and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, Finance Assistant, or in a similar accounting role.

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.

• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.

• Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.

• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.

• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home-working setup.

Nice to Have:

• Formal qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.

• Experience working remotely with UK, US, Canadian, European, or Australian companies.

• Familiarity with payroll, expense management, or financial reporting tools.

• Experience supporting startups, agencies, or fast-growing businesses.
